Can I leave my car on site during my rental?
Yes we can provide secure parking within our security fenced yard during the term of your rental.
What are the licence requirements?
All drivers must be 21 years and over, hold a full drivers licence (for over 1 year). All of our trucks can be driven on a class 1 (car) licence.
Any extra charges for additional drivers?
No, you can have up to 3 named drivers, ALL additional drivers need to be present at the commencement of hire and present a valid Drivers Licence (as above).
Liability Reduction/Is it recommended?
We recommend taking this option as it reduces your Liability (and therefor risk) from $3000 to $1000 (or $1500 for Drivers aged between 21-25yo).
Is diesel included in my hire?
Our trucks have a full tank of diesel when you pick them up and we require them to be returned with a full tank of diesel. Failure to do so will incur a $20 administration fee on top of the cost of fuel.
Do you charge per km traveled?
Yes we do charge per kilometer – please refer to the Rates/Prices page for full details.
We have a no refund policy, however we will reschedule your hire within 6 months for the same value, provided you give us at least 48 hrs notice. Cancellations within 48hrs of booking times will incur a penalty of 50% of Hire cost. Cancellations within 24hrs of booking will incur a penalty of 100% of Hire cost.
There is no refund given for early returns of your hire.
Yes we have 24/7 – 7 days/week – 365 days of the year roadside assistance with AA.
Do you charge a bond for your truck rentals?
Yes, we require a security/bond at the commencement of your Hire. This is payable upon pick up and the signing of the Rental Agreement. The amount of Bond is based on the term of Hire and/or the distance you intend to travel, normally $300 for short term local rentals but can be $500+ for those traveling further than 600kms total round trip.
We accept Credit cards, Flexi Debit cards [and in some cases – Cash] the Bond is then released/refunded at the end of your hire – provided the truck is returned in the same condition it was hired in!
NB: Once we release the Bond back to your Credit/Flexi Debit card, it can take up to 5 working days to show in your account, this is due to each customer’s own Bank and respective banking cycles.
Can I extend my truck hire?
Yes, however this will depend on availability. We cannot guarantee any extension but will do our best to accommodate your request. The earlier you call the more likely we will be able to accommodate.
What if I cannot find my licence?
If you are unable to find your drivers licence then we would be unable to assist with your rental as both Police and Insurance regulations require us to sight a valid current licence prior to you uplifting the rental.
Do you charge a cleaning fee if the vehicle is not returned clean?
Yes, we charge a cleaning fee if the vehicle is returned filthy or if rubbish is left behind.
Return times need to be strictly adhered to as other customers may be waiting for the vehicle you are driving. Late returns will incur a fee of $20/hr.
What if I’m traveling via Toll Roads?
Please let us know if you intend to travel via Toll roads and we can get them prepaid on our account. Alternatively, let us know at the end of your hire to avoid any penalties arising from unpaid Tolls which will be charged to the Hirer’s credit/debit card and will incur a $20 admin fee.
